Introduction to Permaculture

Instructor: Elaine Codling

Permaculture is an environmental design science that focuses on meeting human needs by creating productive systems that are restorative to the natural world. The goal is to create permanent systems of production that imitate the diversity, abundance, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems.
This class will provide an introduction to the ethics and principles used in permaculture design. The focus will be on small scale intensive strategies and appropriate technologies for meeting our specific material needs.
